If you're interested in commissioning an original piece of art from me, work-for-hire illos or just about anything else, I'm always open to the idea.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I WILL ONLY ACCEPT SERIOUS WORK OFFERS. I WILL NOT ACCEPT EXPOSURE OR SPECULATION WORK OFFERS. A NON-REFUNDABLE DOWNPAYMENT OF 50% OF TOTAL COMMISSION FEE IS REQUIRED UP FRONT. PLEASE DO NOT E-MAIL ME ASKING FOR FREEBIES - YOU WILL ONLY WASTE YOUR TIME, AS WELL AS MINE.

What I can do: I can create traditional and digital art, graphic design and web design. My past commissions have included fantasy creatures and characters as well as crime novel illustrations, concept art, pet portraits, child portraits, RPG character portraits, still-lives, landscapes, and a lot more. Just like with anything else, each project is unique, and that is how I approach it.

What I cannot do: I won't agree to do a piece that is openly pornographic or prejudice-oriented. I will also not directly copy work of any other artist, either in part or in its entirety, with the exception of artwork not under the protection of the copyright law. I am always open to make changes to the original sketch if necessary, but there is a limit here, too. Please understand that I have a specific style, and work in a specific genre. Although I can easily go beyond the borders of the fantasy/sci-fi genre, technically, your commission is still likely to be similar to the pieces displayed in this gallery.

How long it will take: It usually depends on how many other orders I'm currently working on. Normally it shouldn't take more than one month. I might be able to meet your specified deadline, but it has to be at least four weeks for oil paintings and 3-4 business days for all other media. Please also note that I recommend a 6 month waiting period for oil paintings due to the specifics of the medium.

How to go about it:  First, take a look at the price list to get a quick reference of what your desired piece might cost. The exact price tag will depend on many factors, such as media, size, complexity of the piece and turnaround. Please e-mail me with specifics.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT E-MAILING ME:

Please do not send unsolicited attachments with your request. Please use specifics in your e-mail title! If you title your e-mail with something like "hello" or "pics" (or do not title it at all), it will likely be flagged as spam and deleted.

What I'll need from you: No matter what you're commissioning, I'll need a detailed description. If you want me to do a portrait, I will need a photograph of the person/creature you want portrayed. Please make sure that the photo is good quality, since it's next to impossible to do a good job portraying someone you've never met, when all the reference you have is a blurry print. For all color portraits, the photo you're submitting doesn't have to be in color.

I guarantee absolute confidentiality of all reference materials and correspondence. Where applies, all reference materials will be returned to you upon completion of the project, and I will never display your completed piece on the Web without your prior written permission.

What it'll cost: You can view the list of basic prices below. These prices are non-negotiable for private clients, and may be negotiable for established publishers. For first-time clients, an upfront 50% deposit must be paid before the work commences. This fee is non-refundable.

All prices are U.S. Dollars only. Personal checks, cashier's checks and money orders are accepted. If you cannot afford the entire amount right away, you have an option to submit partial payments in the course of a period of time convenient to you. You will receive your commissioned artwork upon delivering your last payment. The shipping costs vary and depend on your location and the kind of work you're ordering. Please discuss shipping costs with me before the work on your commission begins.

You can view some samples of bookcovers I've done here.

All commissioned art comes unmatted and unframed; matting available for some pieces for an additional $5 a piece.
When you're commissioning me for a piece of art you're purchasing only the piece of art itself.
Any reproduction of it is illegal. If you are interested in buying reproduction rights,
or would like me to license a certain image on this website for a product, please
