Graphite is probably my favorite medium to date. You may find it hard to believe, but it wasn't always like this. It was painting that I was introduced to first. As a child, I did lots of watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, markers and even oil - anything but graphite. It did not enter my life until adulthood. But once I tried it, I couldn't get enough of it.

My first graphite drawings consisted of me roughly scribbling all over my figures with the same grade pencil without even attempting to blend. It took me many years to perfect my technique (and, as with anything else, I still believe there's room for more improvement). One of the most important things I learned was that control is the most important thing when it comes to drawing. That, and a lot of patience.
